A Ben Moment

Ben (with the palm of his right hand on his neck) said "Something's going around in circles in there!"
I said "It's your heart beating; you can feel it in your neck. It's going thump-thump, thump-thump."
Ben "No. It's going to it's fridge to get something to eat."

Knitting Update 7/30/11

I stumbled upon one lonely skein of Beemer Knit's "Bananafish" yarn on Spots Corner and had to buy it (one of my favorite colorways EVER!!). So what can I do with one skein of gorgeous cestari??!! Stripe it with plain blue Cestari and make longies of course. These still need the ends woven in, a drawstring, and a good wash/blocking but the knitting part is done at least. They are SO incredibly adorable on Declan. These colors really suit him and his summer bleached out hair.

I like to work in an assembly line so I cast on a second pair of longies right away.
Mosaic Moon "Peacock" on aran bfl with trim I dyed, also on aran bfl

August is my last month "off" from working so I am making the most of it and trying to crank Declan's entire fall/winter wool stash out in the next few weeks. Then it's back to work and stocking at Bitty Fluff every two weeks and hopefully my own store/Etsy.

Toy Story 3 Shorties

I saw this yarn on spots corner and had to buy it.
Mosaic Moon + Toy Story = I had to knit it, even if I didn't love the colors in it.

So on the needles it went. I knit it large enough to fit Declan but somewhere along the way Garrett claimed them. I cast off tonight and Garrett tried them on right away claming he's never going to take them off.

They still need a good washing/blocking, a drawstring, pocket with Tessa Ann "Rocketship" button...but as far as Garrett is concerned they're perfect. And I have to agree, the colors are perfect for him and are going to match so much of his shirts...I'm glad I took a chance on this yarn despite not loving it in skein form.
