A leaky faucet.

They always say to cover a boy's privates during diaper changes...so you don't get peed on. Well, Logan peed on me maybe once....Billy peed in my hair once.....Ben never peed on me. So Garrett decided to even make up for it and pees on me (or himself) several times a week. I've now learnt to change his outfit AFTER I change his diaper so that if he pees....I don't have to change it twice. ;-)

Sizing up.

Garrett is quickly outgrowing some of his newborn diapers. I sold the Kissaluv fitteds and our x-small covers and ordered more small covers. I'm not going to order more fitteds as we are now using prefolds 100% of the time during the day now. I save the pockets for the late night diaper changes. I just don't trust myself with sharp objects during the night. LOL

What size are those pj's?

One morning last week I went in to Ben's room to get him up. His room was dark since he has dark curtains and the light was off, but I could see he was stooped over. I turned the light on and walked to the front of the crib to see him standing there, stooped over in these obviously too small footed pajama's. I picked him up and noticed they had a snowman on the front of them. They are size 6M (3-6 months)....only one size larger than what Garrett wears. Shaun stuffed him into these pajama's the night before and never noticed they were so tiny. I can't belive he slept all night in those itty bitty pj's.

A tired mommy.

Paint Shop Pro

I don't believe I've ever blogged about this before, but I make graphics using Paint Shop Pro X. Girls on a mommy forum I belong to got me hooked on it after seeing the beautiful signatures they made for everyone. I learnt a TON of cool stuff from them and although I don't actively try and learn new stuff now, I still like to play with it once in a while.

Just a peek at why I love using prefolds on my boys. There is nothing like wrapping a cotton cloth around a tiny bum to make me feel like a real mom. It's amazing how simple and beautiful a diaper can be.

Bittersweet

Having a newborn is bittersweet. They are so cute, and cuddly and you just want to soak in every moment for it all passes too soon. But, you are exhausted beyond belief. Too tired to function at any level above survival mode and unable to soak in anything.

A belly button!

Garrett lost his cord stump today. He has a real belly button now. Shaun noticed it was missing as he changed his diaper this evening. I found it up near the neck of the gown he was wearing.

Happy 9th Birthday Logan!

Five long days past our expected due date, my water broke. We immediately were sent to the hospital and pitocin was started at 6am. After two and a half hours of pushing Logan was born at 9:46 PM. My beautiful cone headed baby boy.
