House Update 3/27

We painted the master bedroom and bathroom today. There is still a lot of touch up work to do but the colors really make the rooms look so much better. When we opened the paint cans I was really nervous, but now that the paint is dry it is the perfect match to our bedding. The brown in the bathroom was on the same color card and looks great with the flooring in there.

Fluffymail Diapers Rave

My love of Fluffymail diapers started three years ago (Holy sheep!! I thought it was two years ago...thanks etsy for keeping record of my purchases...I think.). Since then I've bought a few new and several used to use on our three cloth diapered babes.

http://www.etsy.com/shop/Fluffymail

Back to why I feel compelled to rave....they fit. They fit my super skinny Ben like a dream. They fit my small but stout Garrett perfectly. And now they fit my super chunky Declan like no other diaper does, with room to grow even!! No blow outs, no plummer's crack, no funky soakers to fold...what's not to love?!

Here's Declan in one of his gorgeous well fitting diapers

I'll be sure to bore ya'll with pics as we go. Shaun has promised me we'll paint the masterbed/bathroom next weekend. I can't wait to see what wall color does for those rooms.

We've moved!!

We are nearly all moved (okay...there are a few more boxes at the old house but we hope to be totally out by Tuesday) and are settled into our new home. Living in the country is wonderful. I can't believe I ever used to daydream about moving away from here. Mud and all we are loving our new rural roots.

I have to mention too it's been rather hard moving with so many children. The amount of stuff to be moved is crazy as is the time spent apart. Shaun has had to do a lot of the moving solo or with the help of my father (Thanks Dad!!) as I don't have a clone and someone has to be here with the children.

My inlaws helped Shaun paint the house the first weekend we had the keys. We are so lucky to have had their help or else this place would still be the color of primer. Thank you Nancy and Paul.

I'll start a new post with a few pics in a bit...a cute 1yo is calling "Maaa Maaa" from his crib.

Three more sleeps.

Three more sleeps until we get the keys to our new house.
OMG! I am dying with anticipation. DYING!!

I've grown claustrophobic living in box hell and am not joking when I say I can't do it much longer.

Three more sleeps...just three more...now if only I could go to sleep...and make it two.
Where are those damn sheep when you need them?!?!

PSA for the week.

If you throw a cat at your brother you will be yelled at.
Especially when the cat leaves a gash mark on your brother's face.
No I don't feel bad for hurting your feelings.
I feel bad for your brother and the cat who was thrown.

Logan made honor roll!

Logan made HONOR ROLL!!!

His first time ever. They only start getting real grades in 6th grade and he tried so hard last quarter but missed it by one C. He worked even harder this quarter and he did it. He peeked at his report card on the way home yesterday and walked in the door saying "I did it. I made honor roll." with tears of joy in his eyes.

I'm so proud of him! So incredibly proud. cry He is extremely smart but struggles with handwriting still...yet he works so hard. I wish I had his determination.
He inspires me to try harder.

House Pics

We drove up today to see the windows that were put in this week and found an unlocked front door (SCORE!!!). So we went in and checked out the progress...and it's all coming together.

House Progress

Lots of progress is being made at the new house.
The septic is in.
The well is in.
We have steps up to the front door.
Basement floor has been poured.
Door downstairs is in.
The finishing guys told Shaun they expect to be done by the end of the week.

Builers gave us a finish date of two weeks from yesterday.
We are BEYOND excited and ready to move in/on with our lives.
The living 1/2 packed deal is getting old. Quickly.

Inside peeks!

There is quite a bit of finishing work to be done on the inside. Everything major is already in place. The only error we spotted was that the island has two levels It was supposed to be all one height. Counter top height, Shaun said it's fixable. *whew* We had them build extra room in around the fridge so we can upgrade as our budget allows.

We are beyond excited and feel so blessed. A new healthy baby boy last year. A brand new house this year.
Dreams can come true.

Which reminds me of a musical snow globe Shaun bought for me when we were first together. It plays Cinderella's "A Dream Is A Wish Your Heart Makes" <3

We have a house!!

Our new house was put on it's foundation today. The boys and I watched from the comfort of my parent's kitchen and Shaun was our photographer outside in the freezing cold. My father called just before 7am to let us know there was activity at the site. After being postponed several times we were excited to know that this was IT! The BIG day.

Here's a few pictures of the day and our new "baby"....
